Hotels Camborne

The Vyvyan Arms

114 Trelowarren St, Camborne TR14 8AN, UK – 01209 712460

I had booked this hotel, and it looked great, but on arrival we found that it didn't have an en suite bathroom, which put my wife off completely. The bedroom was spacious with a four poster bed which looked lovely, but the lack of a personal bathroom within the room just put my wife off staying there. I have to say the manageress was very gracious when we had to cancel our reservation.

Old fashion pub. Friendly enough. Small interior. Bit of a locals pub.

John Francis Basset

21 Commercial St, Camborne TR14 8TB, UK – 01209 613230

We've just home from a 3 night stay. Lovely room, spotlessly clean, all staff very friendly. Great base for travelling train station within walking distance for train to St Ives ( speaking to a local he advised not to take car, glad we didn't ) . Will definitely return and recommend to friends and family. Thank you for lovely stay.Come to Barry Island and worry about parking, it's a nightmare ( if you are lucky enough to reach car park ) We had no problem , parked in side street.

Excellent hotel, nice and clean, lovely bathroom, big problem is there isn't Any parking, which would put me off coming back

The Lowenac Hotel

34 Basset Rd, Camborne TR14 8SL, UK – 01209 719295

Great Hotel and good location for visiting areas around Cornwall. Staff are very nice and talkative and helpful tips for visitors. My room was large with a good comfy double bed. Clean towels and Linen with a fresh scent. The Power shower was in a good sized shower room. Complimentary coffee and Tea, digital TV and wardrobe.Perhaps the room was a little 'tired' decor wise but everything else made up for it. I did not eat here as was traveling around early 'til late

Thankyou so much for making the room extra special for my really special friends ....cant thank you enough as they loved it 😊😊 XX

Camborne Pubs, Gastro Pubs and Bars

Plume of Feathers

Fore St, Pool, Redruth TR15 3PF, UK – 01209 713513

The service and food were fantastic! Very welcoming and dogs are allowed which is the best! Would certainly go again and would recommend :)

Traditional pub with a comforting atmosphere, good beer (and other drinks) and good food. My new favourite English pub!

The John Francis Basset

Commercial St, Camborne TR14 8JZ, UK – 01209 613230

Service was pretty quick for the food we had. 1 minor error meant we had to ask for the drink for the youngest member of the party. However, it was quickly resolved by the nearest member of staff. The food overall was of a decent enough standard.

Nice, clean and spacious room and bathroom. Ideal for one night stay when passing by through Camborne. Well equpied room with TV, kettle, biscuits, hairdryer and a iron. However, there is a lot of noise coming from outside. Staff was very friendly and helpful and it's handful to have a pub close by.

Countryman Inn

Piece, Carnkie, Redruth TR16 6SG, UK – 01209 215960

Lovely food, great people. Second time I went in and ordered the vegetable stir fry but they had ran out of sauce, but determined to get me my dish they compromised it to fit in with what I would like. Top notch 👍

Excellent out of the way inn. Good beer good good and entertainment. A lot of kareoke to which they can all sing. The landlord is very friendly and always remembers us each year. Seek out this hidden jem.

You can find excellent very well priced accommodation around Camborne using Airbnb.

We run an Airbnb bed and breakfast down in Devon (house below) - and we have stayed in Airbnb accommodation all over the place. You can find the wonderful little gems with totally committed hosts and really frightful places which you put down to experience! You absolutely have to read the details of each listing - and read the reviews! Basically use Airbnb wherever we go - but we do do our homework!

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

Camborne Campsites and Caravan Parks

Lavender Fields Touring Park

Lavender Fields, Penhale Rd, Carnhell Green, Carnhell Green, TR14 0LU, UK – 01209 831122

The site is in a very quiet location, with beautiful views of the Cornish country side. Pitches are a good size with electric hook up and running water. Toilet block and wash up are both very clean and well appointed. We were warmly welcomed by the owners, who have been very helpful. Our two children very much enjoyed the space on the site to ride bikes and play with other children. Would highly recommend. Thank you.

Magor Farm Campsite

Magor Farm, Magor Hill, Camborne TR14 0JF, UK – 01209 713367

Great (but basic) massive family friendly campsite. Watch the kids go feral! For the adults you can have a fire and a chat without getting in trouble with the usual officious owners. Laid back heaven but If you want more than a field, loo and shower go to Newquay.

I love this campsite. So peaceful. It’s simple but with perfectly good showers etc. Lovely owners. Fantastic walks locally and everything else a short drive away. Will hope to return.
