Brookfield Kennels & Cattery

Brookfield Boarding Kennels & Cattery, Barripper, Camborne TR14 0PN, UK – 01209 831432

I have just picked my beloved dogs up from Brookfield Kennels. I was so anxious about leaving my dogs, they are not the easiest of breeds. Why did I worry !!! What an amazing place but even more so what amazing staff and owners. Its so clean and my dogs did not smell 'doggy' when I picked them up. So much room to run around and a 'safe' enclosure too. They offer a pick up and drop off sevice ... now thats a massive help too and also have freezers so you can take your own dog food if you cook fresh as I do each day. Nothing has been left to chance and nothing has been forgotten. Finally, I have found the best dog hotel in Cornwall. AND they do day care...I often want to go to Exeter or somewhere but cant because I will not leave my dogs in the car alone for more than 10 minutes...Cant praise this place enough. Five stars plus. x

Great place for the dogs to relax when your away.

Vets

Penmellyn Vets Pool

33 Church Rd, Pool, Redruth TR15 3PT, UK – 01209 613405

I rate Penmellyn Vets Pool 5* as they are a professional, caring and friendly team. My Whippet obviously had a good experience there when she was recently spayed, as she continues to greet the staff enthusiastically when I take her for her routine weight check and shows no signs of reluctance to enter the waiting room! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Practice to friends and family.

We have been clients of the Penmellyn group since we first moved to Cornwall, first at the main hospital in St Coloumb, and now at Pool. They have always been very professional with our Dog and I never feel as if they are trying to sell me products or treatment that is not warranted for the current treatment of her. She has behavioural issues yet always seems happy to visit and once at the surgery we always receive a friendly and professional service from all members of the team. Pool Surgery has the added benefits of all the medical and treatment advances by being a part of the St Coloumb Hospital yet has the friendly disposition of a small surgery. I would definitely recommend this surgery.

This has got much more humane. The Pet Travel Scheme allows pet animals from certain countries to enter the UK without quarantine, as long as they meet certain conditions. The Scheme also means that people in the UK can, having taken their pets to these countries, bring them back without the need for quarantine
